2017 was a perfect growing season in the Yadkin Valley with rainfall at the perfect times and moderate summertime temperatures. This allowed the fruit to mature in a well-balanced fashion. This wine is beautifully ripe and expressive with lively acid and polished tannins. Notes of chocolate covered cherry, espresso and spices tantalize the nose and the palate. This Crimson Creek Reserve utilized more ripe fruit and longer skin contact and then was aged in new American oak barrels.
