"The hybrid grape varietals wildly planted in the eastern and midwestern United States may not be well known, but the wines they produce are increasingly well made. JOLO’s blend of Vidal Blanc and Traminette from JOLO offers bright citrus and tropical aromas, is well balanced, bone dry and long on the palate. Platinum Award Winner at the 2019 Winemaker Challenge International Wine Competition."

Our premiere Vidal Blanc and Traminette blend white wine offering a harmonious balance of fruit and acidity.
This wine is crisp, clean and refreshing. Equal parts of elegance and delicate aromatics offer tropical fruit, citrus and white flowers with loads of pear, freshly peeled apple dancing on the palate. The finish is crisp and rounded with a citrus and wet stone. This is a very enjoyable wine alone and also pairs well with shellfish, white fish, chicken, roasted pork, pastas in butter or pesto sauces. This wine should be consumed within the next 4 to 5 years to savor the harmonious balance of fruit and acidity.
Vidal Blanc and Traminette are our only white grapes planted at JOLO. Vidal is an offspring of the Ugni Blanc grape from Italy and the Traminette is an offspring of the Gewurztraminer grape from Germany. We press the juice into stainless steel tanks to begin its fermentation process. We use specially selected French style yeast that we believe accentuates the bright tropical fruit of the Vidal, the flowery aromatics of the Traminette, and juicy mouth-feel this wine possesses.
