The 2019 growing season here in Pilot Mountain was marked by very little rainfall, warm sunny days with a constant breeze flowing through the vineyards. This ripened the fruit slowly and at the same time dehydrated the fruit slightly which reduced our yields, and in turn accentuated the fruit flavors and varietal characteristics. This crisp and elegant Rose wine is layered with enticing aromas of watermelon, bright cherry and raspberry. Strawberry, raspberry and citrus tantalize the palate ending with a lip-smacking finish. This is a very enjoyable wine alone and also pairs well with goat cheese, salads with vinaigrettes, shellfish, roasted vegetables, fruit salad or a bad day This wine should be consumed within the next four to five years to savor the balance of fruit and acidity.
