2022 will mark the third bottling of JOLOTAGE Reserve. 17% of the blend enjoyed extended barrel aging in French Oak from the 2020 vintage. 83% from the 2021 vintage was aged in French Oak.  

This third bottling of JOLOTAGE Reserve represents the very best JOLOTAGE blend that we feel exemplifies the nuances and complexities of our prior releases. This is a combination of extended barrel aging and a blending of different vintages to create a one of a kind JOLOTAGE boasting dark fruit, mocha, leather and polished tannins yielding a long, lush and firm finish.

Varietal: 29% Cabernet Sauvignon, Chambourcin 23%, 14% Merlot, 14% Petit Verdot, Cabernet Franc 7%, Syrah 7%,  JOLOTAGE 2020 blend 6%

Harvested: Various days in September 2020 and 2021

I was served this while visiting friends in SC. Wow. This is the BEST red wine I've enjoyed. It's smooth and vibrant with an easy finish and taste, no harshness that can sometimes be present in reds. I enjoy wine occassionally and this one is going to be served in Ohio now!!
