The 2018 growing season here in the Yadkin Valley was marked by significant rainfall in the early spring and summer. Warmer, sunnier days came at just the right time to help slowly ripen the fruit. We watched closely to harvest at just the optimal times pre and post Hurricane Florence. This allowed the fruit to mature in a well-balanced fashion. This rich and luxurious full-bodied Cynthiana based wine is layered in enticing aromas of blueberry, dark cherry cola, mocha and spices. This elegant wine has a supple and velvety mouth-fell with a finish that demonstrates balanced tannins, acidity and fruit. This fine wine should be paired with steaks, braised meat, barbeques, hearty stews or to be enjoyed on its own. This wine will continue to age gracefully for a decade or more.
