Chris Cosgrove, our Vice President of Wine Growing Operations, shared that this wine provided him with a special opportunity to pay homage to the JOLO family and the members who have supported him throughout his journey from his early days as “BreadBoy” to his role in winemaking.
Chris aged this single-varietal Vidal Blanc sur lie for 8 months, with regular bâtonnage to incorporate the lees, creating a luxurious, creamy mouthfeel while preserving its vibrant acidity. This wine is delightful to enjoy now, but with proper cellaring, it has the potential to age gracefully for a decade or more.
With vibrant aromas of citrus and pineapple, this wine offers a crisp and refreshing palate. It showcases a delightful acidity that accentuates flavors of lemon curd, complemented by subtle notes of brioche from aging on the lees. Perfect for pairing with light dishes or enjoyed on its own as a festive aperitif, this wine is a true testament to the craft. I hope you all enjoy it as much as I have enjoyed developing it, Chris.
